2026 Scarecrows in the Meadow is Officially Underway!
The Autumn season in Litchfield is in full swing, and one of our favorite community traditions has returned. Presented by the Litchfield Historical Society, the 7th Annual Scarecrows in the Meadow opened Oct. 17 and continues through Nov. 1 in the Tapping Reeve Meadow.
More than 50 wonderfully creative, quirky, and clever scarecrows crafted by local families, friends, businesses, and non-profit organizations have taken over the meadow.
Don’t forget that visitors get to vote on their favorites across multiple categories and winners will be announced after the event wraps up.

When: Open daily from dawn to dusk (October 17 – November 1)
