First Oval Office in Litchfield CTRevolutionary War era history will come alive again this weekend as the Litchfield Historical Society brings the First Oval Office Project to the Tapping Reeve Meadow—the most anticipated event of the semiquincentennial or 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

The original tent is preserved at the Museum of the American Revolution in Philadelphia, but this Saturday, October 3, guest at special events can experience a faithful replica.
