Bantam Lake Ski Show is Aug 1 & 2 at Sandy Beach

The Bantam Lake Ski Club is back for its annual Cypress Gardens-style water ski extravaganza at Sandy Beach on Saturday, August 1st & Sunday, August 2nd. 🏄‍♂️✨

If you caught their guest performance down on Candlewood Lake recently, you already know these skiers are in peak mid-season form. But there’s nothing quite like watching them on their home turf.

Founded in 1958, the Bantam Lake Ski Club is recognized as the oldest continuously operating water ski club in the United States. For nearly seven decades, generations of local families have come together to practice, perform, and keep this classic American water sports tradition roaring right here on Connecticut’s largest natural lake.

What to Expect:

🚤 Multi-tier human pyramids

🚤 Barefooting, trick skiing & wakeboarding

🚤 Ballet lines, jump ramps & the fan-favorite “Boat O’s”

🚤 Adorable kids’ lines showing off the next generation of talent

Event Details:

🗓️ When: Saturday, Aug 1 & Sunday, Aug 2

⏰ Time: Show starts at 2:00 PM both days (Arrive by 1:30 PM to grab parking & a spot on the sand!)

📍 Where: Sandy Beach (East Shore Rd, Morris/Litchfield)

🎟️ Admission: $25 suggested donation per car to support the club’s year-round operations.
