The Litchfield Community Center just announced performers in its 2026 Summer Sunset Free Concert Series, with performances June 19, Aug. 14, and Sept. 11 – adding to the nine free concerts on the Green sponsored by Litchfield CT Park & Recreation.
The Community Center’s series opens with local favorites Potter’s Field on June 19, from 6 to 8 p.m., performing cover songs & originals with amazing harmony and vocals. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets for the BYOB concert, which is held inside if it rains. The Meraki food truck will be on hand.
The following Wednesday, June 24, the series of concerts on the Green begins with crowd favorite Wooden Horse, which honors the music of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, and America.
Nine shows on the Green are scheduled on Wednesday evenings in the season that wraps up Aug. 19 (see the graphic for the full lineup). The June and July shows are 6-8 p.m. and the August shows are 5-7 p.m. Bring your lawn chair and blanket, and Park & Rec advises grabbing dinner to go at a local restaurant to enjoy picnic-style on the Green during the concert.
Meanwhile, the Aug. 14 concert in the free series at the Community Center features the 18-member Al Fenton Big Band, performing best of big band jazz & swing, Bill’s Mobile Brick Oven Pizza will be on hand.
The Sept. 11 features another local favorite, Dim Lights Thick Smoke, playing Honky Tonk, Blues, Folk & Rock And Roll. Rich’s Wings & Things will be there.
All Community Center concerts are 6 to 8 p.m.
